In order to raise awareness and encourage companies to ensure adequate cybersecurity in their business operations, DIH Slovenia, together with experts in the field, has compiled useful information. For those who want to take the first steps in this area, the brochure Cyber Security: a guide to the first steps towards a more secure business. The brochure is available electronically HERE, or if you prefer printed copies, visit DIH Slovenia at the CCIS.

The Slovenian Enterprise Fund's Cybersecurity Voucher is also available to provide additional incentives to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to ensure adequate cybersecurity in an increasingly digitalised business environment. It allows SMEs to co-finance two activities: a system security audit and penetration testing, both of which are co-financed by the SPS up to 60% of the eligible costs. The full procedure of how a company (SME) applies to the SPS call for proposals is described in more detail HERE.

DIH Slovenia, as a single entry point for digitalisation, is also joining the initiative to inspire young people to get involved in cyber security by raising awareness of the importance of cyber security, and is organising the Cyber Night 2022 cyber security competition in October, which will take place on 7 October. As one of the initiators of the competition, information security expert and SSRD Director Gregor Spagnolo, points out, cyber competitions of this kind are also important from the point of view of human resources, development and, in particular, raising awareness of the importance of cyber security. This is because such competitions are aimed at promoting cybersecurity as well as inspiring young people to pursue a career in cybersecurity.
