The aim is to break down the barriers that prevent women in rural and less populated areas from becoming the leaders our world needs. At the same time, we want to make it easier for rural Europe to take advantage of the endless opportunities offered by digitalisation. The programme will place particular emphasis on entrepreneurship and the use of new technologies in rural areas. It will also focus on the digitisation of SMEs, access to finance and business sustainability, and the potential that the latest innovations offer for a greener future.
This year, the Academy will take place from 23 to 28 October in Castilla y León, Spain's largest region, and Slovenian applicants are invited to apply.
The participants selected by the jury will receive a full scholarship to attend the programme. Applications are open until 27 September.
