What is the Digital Innovation Hub Slovenia (DIH Slovenia)?
DIH Slovenia enables digital transformation on the principle of one-stop-shop, in Slovenia and beyond. Raises awareness and provides services for the growth of digital competences, exchange of digital experiences and examples of good practice at local, regional and international level; proposes to the government and provides access to data to promote entrepreneurship.
Vision of DIH Slovenia
DIH Slovenia is a central national point for providing, connecting and supporting business and technological knowledge, technologies, experimental and pilot environments, best practices, methodologies and other activities necessary to enable Slovenian industry to build digital competencies, model innovations and processes; support their digital transformation and raise their competitive advantages based on digitalisation.
Cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary partnerships (universities, research and business institutions, businesses, ICT providers and business support organizations) are building an ecosystem to sustainably support this vision in the short and long term.
Purpose of the operation
The purpose of the operation is to finance the implementation of free services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of digitalization and Industry 4.0, implemented by the DIH Slovenia with the aim of increasing the added value of SMEs. By carrying out activities, we create balanced software support for raising digital competencies and digital transformation of SMEs, and thus contribute to:
- overcoming barriers to digital transformation;
- raising the digital economy index in Slovenia;
- increasing the number of companies involved in global value chains;
- raising the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.
Diverse ecosystem
DIH Slovenia's key strategic partners come from the specialization platform S4 Smart Factory Cluster, ICT Horizontal Network (SRIP PMiS), industry (members of the above-mentioned smart factories, TECOS), Universities (University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor) as the largest research organization in Slovenia, support environment for SMEs (Association for Informatics and Telecommunications, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia), Technology Park Ljubljana (connecting SMEs and several research institutes for innovation), Smart Factory Cluster, Wood Cluster, IIBA Slovenia and others.
