Check Whether Your Product Falls Under the Cyber Resilience Act with the Free CRA Scope Check Tool

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduces new cybersecurity obligations for manufacturers, importers and distributors of products with digital elements placed on the European market. To support businesses, the European CRACoWi project has developed the free online CRA Scope Check tool, enabling companies to perform a quick initial assessment.

What is CRA Scope Check?

CRA Scope Check is a free online self-assessment tool that guides users through a short series of questions to determine whether a product falls within the scope of the Cyber Resilience Act.

After completing the assessment, the tool provides one of three outcomes:

✔ The product is within the scope of the CRA.

✔ The product is likely to be within the scope of the CRA.

✔ The product is outside the scope of the CRA.

The assessment takes only a few minutes, requires no registration or personal data, and provides an excellent starting point for planning compliance activities.

Why check now?

Although the main CRA obligations will apply from December 2027, some requirements become applicable earlier. Preparing development processes, technical documentation, vulnerability management and security-by-design practices takes time.
