In light of the Digital Europe Programme, the Platform directly contributes to the goals of the European Digital Decade strategy: 80 % of Europeans with at least basic digital skills and 20 million employed ICT specialists by 2030. Funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the Platform will help people find relevant training opportunities and it will boost knowledge-sharing between organisations and companies.
The Platform will strengthen the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and serve as a hub for 25 National Coalitions that will be able to better exchange experiences and good practices, whilst navigating users through national and EU initiatives, offering a community space for discussions, interactions and match-making.
The launch event will touch on hot topics in digital transformation, looking at the urgent need for digital re- and upskilling, and the importance of a collaborative effort at EU and national level. With representatives from National Coalitions, industry and training providers speaking, the launch will also discuss how stakeholders and projects on digital skills can all work together to speed up Europe's digital transformation and recovery. The launch event will also establish how can the Platform play its role in the context of digital transformation and the Digital Decade strategy.
